November Moodboard Inspiration - Maureen

We have another November Moodboard inspiration to share, closing this round out with a piece from Maureen! She envisioned this dreamy scene with our Hot Air Balloon and Plumes, as well as the custom sentiment "believe" which is now available in our new Faith Word Set. 

First she primed her wooden base with gesso and painted it in layers alternating between a brush and a brayer using the colors Spa Blue, violet and aqua. Maureen loves adding background layers of color with a brayer for the grungy, imperfect texture if offers. Once the paint had dried, she dry brushed more gesso to tone the color down a bit. 

Next she primed and painted the balloon and plumes chipboard pieces and painted them in darker shades, mixing the colors of her base with a little black paint, layering them up and adding dark edging for depth. After placing those chipboards, Maureen wanted to add more interest and texture with some shine and sparkle, so she grabbed her 3D Gloss Gel by Finnabair and went in with some Glitter Glass and purple microbeads. 

Lastly, she heat embossed her sentiment in black to make it stand out.
