Altered Bird - Phyllis

Can we talk about how adorable this beautiful bird is?!? Well we are going to talk about it and all about how Phyllis created all this whimsical cuteness!

Phyllis first used white crackle paste and mini art stones for the background - together, these two mediums add such a nice texture. She then sprayed the background with Color Bloom Spray by Prima. Next she added her chipboard pieces - Honeycomb Pieces, Oval Flourish Frame, Bell Flowers and Corner Flourish Set 2.

To decorate the chippies, Phyllis painted them with liquid acrylic paints and added rust paste. Lastly, she brushed on some wax for some extra color and interest. To finish off this beautiful bird, she added some flowers and touches of sequins, micro- and seedbeads.

Isn't this just such a fun piece? I'm sure she had as much fun creating it as we've had admiring it. Be sure to scroll through for all the details, there is so much hidden interest and texture in here you don't want to miss!
