Dream - Maureen

We are so excited to share this dreamy canvas from Maureen. It's different from her usual style which makes it so much more fun!

For the background, Maureen primed a canvas panel with black gesso and, once dry, began making swirls with Arteza Irridescent Acrylic Paints until she found the ethereal movement she was going for. She primed painted our Moon Fairy chipboard in matte acrylics and then heat embossed it with ultra thick embossing enamel to add some sheen. 

Before adhering the chipboard to the canvas, Maureen added some texture to night sky scene with some irridescent wax through a star stencil, as well as some white splatters. She also added some silver glitter glass with Finnabair's 3d Gloss Gel in a few spots for extra magical interest. To finish off the piece, she placed it in a frame and added a large custom "dream" chipboard we cut for her, which she painted with black gesso and finished with the silver glitter glass and gloss gel mixture.
