October 2020 Moodboard - Inspiration by Maureen

We are so excited to share another inspiration project for our October 2020 Moodboard and this one is coming from Maureen. If you haven't seen our mood board, no worries - there is plenty of time to create a project! Just join us over in the Scrapaholics Open Studio  for all the details and get your Scrapaholic chippies out to start creating. We are going to have a drawing the first week of November to determine the winner to a gift certificate toward any of our chipboard, but you have to be over there to get a chance! 

For this canvas, Maureen started out with some texture she created with Finnabair Paper Paste through a stencil. Next she added some color with a range of watered down distress inks browns, golds and oranges. 

She chose use our Butterfly Medley and Branches chipboards in the layering of her focal point, which she left raw, and arranged it with other ephemera from a variety of collections. Next, Maureen tucked in paper flowers, leaves and other embellishments for added interest. 

To finish the canvas off, he added some art stones and microbeads here there and a gold heat-embossed sentiment of "grateful" from a custom set of words we cut for her.
